We did our first tradeshow in collab with .events and had some great coverage provided by who were brilliant. Above all the our new customers loved what we had to offer and gave us priceless feedback.

Men want to look good but are fed up with shoes that make their feet wish they were back in sneakers. Mums and wives want their sons and husbands to look polished and ML is becoming the answer!.

A year of refactoring our design to bring comfort to a flat shoe with Indian classical shapes has started to pay off. Its not perfect but we are making huge progress.

We looking forward to dropping our next range in summer.

Also sorry we sold out on so many sizes and colours. We were not expected so much love!!

The Original Mumbai Lad

An inspiration for starting Mumbai Lads is my Dad. He came to the UK in the 70's and opened a shoe shop in East London, named Panache. As a kid I used to work there on weekends. I was fascinated by the shoes he sold. They were made in Italy but customised with vibrant colours catered for Dalston's African community. This fusion stuck with me and helped inspire the concept behind Mumbai Lads...

Here he is rocking our popular black suede ML's at a wedding last week. A full circle moment.
