At Vankriti, the focus is on hand made work: needlecraft techniques like
*Embroidery:
Free style
Open work ( Cutwork, Drawn thread work, Pulled thread
work),
Traditional Indian embroidery (Kasuti, Kutchhwork, Kantha,
Chikan work, Lambani, etc.) Brazilian embroidery
*Applique, Patchwork and Quilti

*Lacework: Crochet and Tatting
*Fabric Manipulation: Smocking, Gathering, Tucking, etc.
*Tie and dye variations. These techniques have been applied both in their classic forms and in contemporary interpretations. Handlooms, block prints, Khadi, Ikats etc, are some fabrics that are largely used here, cottons being preferred over other fabrics. It is possible to replicate a design , or sometimes, the complete set, subject to the fabric being available. Please get in touch for your clarifications. There is also a plan to add other items: Jackets, bags, folders, table mats, etc.
