HandLoom under lockdown!

Our Handloom weavers cannot afford lockdown. Weavers are skilled craftspeople equivalent to daily wagers who earn according to number of sarees/pieces they weave in a month.Weavers have no financial security.

We request handloom fraternity to support our weavers......

Bandhej is the oldest form of tie & die art which began about 5000 years ago. As per the historical evidence, the first Bandhani saree was worn at the time of Bana Bhatt`s Harshacharita in a royal marriage. One of it’s earliest visual representations can be seen in the Ajanta caves.

The KORA Silk Sarees are weaved on KADWA traditional hand-looms.
Every saree takes up to 30 to 35 days for weaving.
The saree is weaved by traditional weaving families in Varanasi.
