Defiants Collection 2025
Part I
“Defiant” is a multi-artistic expression of ideas between craftsmanship, interests, culture, and visual presentation of norms and breaking barriers of societal archetype uniforms.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” As children, our dreams and aspirations are personified by archetypes: the doctor, the lawyer, the banker, the accountant, the politician.
Familiar characters in everyday society, they are inseparably defined by uniforms: the dress code we associate with professions, lifestyle, and knowledge.
This collection investigates the nuance of uniforms with a futuristic twist to silhouettes against the unconscious bias instilled in our collective psyche by the archaic norms of society.
Inspiration is derived from Ghanaian culture on visual conception of a career persona, against Italian elegance through the aesthetic appeal of Dante Alighieri, a poet, writer, and philosopher.
The collection also interprets personal taste to elegance in our modern workwear uniforms, with softness within strength, minimalism with impact, and utility fused with elegance influence by texture, architecture, sculpture, and poetic restraints through blending futuristic shapes with military tailoring, functionality with Made in Italy craftsmanship.
Breaking away the codes of society with a new silhouette of Victor-Hart as the new uniforms for careers.
