Want to create a beachwear collection that feels anything but ordinary?

In beachwear, fabric is not just the foundation of a garment.
It is what defines the collection’s identity, its visual impact, and its recognisability.

In this reel, we introduce 4 fabrics with different features, designed to meet different needs:

Fantastic
A matte nylon, available in different weights, with a stock colour card of 72 shades and UV 50+ protection.
Opaque, versatile, and ideal for swimsuits, bikinis, and one-pieces.

Olivella
A customisable 3D jacquard, perfect for those who want to move beyond the “seen it all before” and turn fabric into a true brand identity element.

Touch Metallic
Available in 13 metallic colours, designed for those looking for a bright, striking effect, combined with a technical construction and a distinctive colour base.

Crepe Borgini
A soft crepe structure that feels comfortable on the skin, ideal for pareos, cover-ups, and beach dresses.
It can also be digitally printed with the pattern of your choice.

Four fabrics, four functions, one clear direction:
to create a beachwear collection that is more recognisable, more personal, and far less predictable.

Materials engineering applied to textile product development requires a strategic balance between active thermoregulation and dynamic moisture-flow management.

This technical presentation explores the synergistic integration of two engineered technologies designed to eliminate the “wet shirt” effect and optimize the athlete’s microclimate during peak effort.

In the development of high-performance technical apparel, body thermal mapping calls for targeted responses based on the areas where heat and perspiration accumulate most:

Microclimate optimization in critical zones:
The integration of Tek Mesh Carbon technology in areas exposed to high bacterial load and perspiration, such as the underarms, ribs, and back, leverages a permanent carbon filament embedded in a pre-perforated structure. This combined action ensures continuous ventilation and intrinsic bacteriostatic properties, neutralizing odors throughout the entire lifecycle of the garment.

Mechanical decoupling and zero cling:
For the main body of the jersey, the three-dimensional Mini Check Text structure creates an artificial air gap between the skin and the fabric. By lifting away from the skin, the material eliminates the suction effect caused by sweat, accelerates flash moisture evaporation, and acts as a dynamic thermal insulator without restricting movement.

Athletic performance no longer depends solely on garment design, but on the construction logic and biological complementarity of the yarns selected during the development phase.

Dimensional stability in jersey meets the nobility of fine fibres in the identity of Fashion Jersey by Borgini.

Creating a haute couture fabric requires precise structural solutions, able to anticipate pattern-making challenges directly in the atelier before the cutting stage.

Contemporary couture silhouettes call for engineered structures and high-tenacity jerseys that can support form without limiting the designer’s creativity.
Two languages, one textile house

The Fashion Jersey by Borgini offering brings together textile engineering and artisanal tradition:

Technical Performance: dimensionally stable stretch fabrics and high-tenacity jerseys designed to ensure millimetric precision and shape stability.

Noble Fibres: silk, cashmere and extra-fine wool processed through delicate finishes and balanced constructions, preserving the natural elegance of the raw material.

Being a technical partner to fashion houses means anticipating the needs of collections and resolving fabric complexities before the material reaches the atelier.

A base layer suitable for mountain sports?

Thermoregulation management in baselayers for mountain sports requires precise control of moisture and heat flows. This video shows the structural response of Meropilene fabric during intense exertion cycles.

Designing collections for mountaineering and hiking constantly involves managing sudden changes in body temperature. Solving this thermal instability requires an engineering approach that goes beyond the limits of a single fibre.

Meropylene technology addresses this complexity through a double-faced structure that requires conscious design of the finished garment in order to express 100% of its technical potential:

Inner surface: A loop structure in merino wool in direct contact with the skin, acting as a natural thermal regulator and stabilising the body’s microclimate.

Outer surface: A hydrophobic polypropylene yarn that does not retain moisture, accelerating evaporation and keeping the inner layer dry.

Optimising the performance of a baselayer means calibrating the synergy between these two opposing yarns during movement. We support brands in analysing garment construction variables to transform this textile technology into a concrete advantage.

Anyone developing golf collections knows what happens when a fabric “gives” after just three swings.

The silhouette is perfect on the mannequin. Then it hits the course and, thirty minutes later, the structure is gone.

For the new season, we have introduced a Structured Interlock with Twill Effect. It’s not just another item in the catalog; it’s a technical ally for your design team.

The secret lies in the architecture. We are talking about a 40-gauge construction with an extremely dense knit structure. It’s the only way to ensure a garment remains impeccable from the first tee to the final hole.

Here is why it changes the game for your next drop:

• Diagonal Architecture:
It locks the structure in place. You get a level of stability that classic interlock simply cannot offer. It's the ideal foundation for structured, high-performance cuts.

• Clean-Cut Finish:
The compactness of the 40-gauge allows for sharp, raw edges and minimalist designs. No fraying, just a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

• Total Resistance:
We calibrated the crease-resistant and abrasion-resistant properties to withstand the actual mechanical stress of the game.

The quality of a collection is revealed in the details the end user doesn't see. But they feel it every time they move.
If you are planning your next drop, start with the structure.

The secret to the perfect cycling jersey?

It’s not just the design.
It’s what happens when fabric stops being a material and becomes a second skin.

People often think that a lightweight fabric is fragile.
Or that offering 72 colours means compromising on structure.
The reality is that managing a technical polyamide requires almost obsessive precision.

Sabbia is not just a fabric for summer jerseys.

It is a technical challenge we solved for those who create collections.
It allows raw-cut finishing parallel to the selvedges: a detail that separates a standard product from a high-end garment.

Developing a fabric like this means anticipating every climate and movement variable.

If you are developing an activewear or sportswear collection, this is a fabric worth considering.

Double-knit construction with moisture transport through capillary action.
HeiQ Smart Temp treatment applied during production.

What you get in the finished garment:
— Active moisture management, moving sweat away from the skin
— Thermoregulation activated by body heat
— Adaptive comfort during changes in activity intensity
— A real cooling sensation, not just a promised one
This is not just a surface finishing.

It is an integrated system combining yarn structure and functional treatment.

Borgini Jersey supplies it to brands and manufacturers looking to bring real performance into their collections.

If you are looking for a fabric that truly supports what your brand promises, this is the right one.

Building a summer running collection without the right fabrics is a risk.

Today’s runner isn’t looking for aesthetics alone.
They want thermal performance and extreme next-to-skin comfort.

Andrea Lucchina, Sales Manager at Borgini, has selected three summer must-haves:

**Sobek:** 44-gauge microfiber. Essential for reducing friction and irritation in critical areas.

**Mesh Grata:** The king of breathability. Its open-knit structure is ideal for hot climates or as an insert in high-sweat zones.

**Double Crepe:** Double-front technology. Sweat is mechanically transported to the outside, keeping the inner layer dry at all times.

Three different approaches, one shared goal:
to make running a better experience, even under the August sun.

Designing a summer running collection means managing a delicate balance.
Athletes want lightness, but the brand still has to guarantee quality and decency, with zero transparency.

Usually, “total coverage” is a feature associated with autumn-weight fabrics.
Charme Plus raises the bar.

Why choose it for your next running drops:

Technical lightweight feel: 155 g/sqm to help manage heat.

Zero-risk coverage: The double-knit construction prevents the fabric from becoming see-through while the runner is moving.

Raw-cut finish: A stable structure that enables clean, seamless-looking designs.

Summer compression: A shaping effect that supports the muscles without weighing the garment down.

The result is a collection that feels like air to the touch, but performs like armor when worn.

There’s a sound that anyone working in textiles would recognize instantly.

It’s the rhythm of Jacquard looms running at full speed.

Today, Andrea Lucchina took us into production to show us a small technical secret.

We’re standing in front of one of our Jacquard looms.

Esagono Maglia is currently being made, a fabric that does not simply follow an aesthetic trend.

Its hexagonal geometry creates a perforated mesh that releases heat instantly.

But there’s more.
Very breathable fabrics are often delicate.

Esagono Maglia is designed to withstand friction (pilling and abrasion), making it perfect not only for the main body of a jersey, but also for those critical inserts that need to last an entire season.

Seeing the loom’s precision makes it clear that technical sportswear is not improvised, but true textile engineering.
