Closeoop was born from the experience of with a clear goal: transforming textile waste into new resources by reintegrating materials into the production cycle through mechanical regeneration processes 💡

Our work begins with the recovery of both pre- and post-consumer materials which, instead of becoming waste, are carefully selected and enhanced to create new applications. Every input is thoroughly analyzed to identify the most suitable treatment based on fibre characteristics, composition, and the desired final result.

Through our mechanical regeneration process, materials are opened, processed, and transformed into regenerated fibres or semi-finished products intended for different industrial applications. This approach allows us to preserve the value of the material as much as possible, reducing dependence on virgin resources and limiting waste throughout the supply chain.

What makes the Closeoop process particularly flexible is its ability to work with a wide variety of materials, from more structured textiles to delicate fabrics, developing tailored solutions according to specific application needs.

For us, regeneration does not simply mean recovering waste, but rethinking the way materials are used, enhanced, and reintroduced into the production system.

In the textile industry, the concept of quality is often associated with the “newness” of a material: what is new is perceived as more performant, while what has already been used is automatically considered inferior.

Yet, we do believe that this assumption is increasingly misleading.

Every year, more than 92 million tonnes of textile waste are generated globally (source: UNEP), and a significant share of these materials still retains valuable technical properties. At the same time, less than 15% of textile waste is collected for reuse or recycling, while the majority is landfilled or incinerated (source: European Environment Agency).

This highlights a key point: the issue is not so much the quality of the material itself, but our ability to process, select and transform it effectively.

Today, thanks to advanced regeneration processes, such as Closeoop’s one, it is possible to preserve fundamental fibre properties, such as length, tenacity and uniformity, making recycled inputs compatible with high-performance applications.

Overcoming this bias is therefore essential: quality does not depend on the origin of the material, but on how it is processed and reintegrated into the production cycle.
In this context, true innovation is not only technical, but also cultural: it requires rethinking how we recognise and assign value to materials 💡

Closing the loop, one fibre at a time ♻️

On June 24th-25th, we’ll be taking part with .innovation in the upcoming , where innovation, circularity, and material regeneration come together to shape the future of the industry.

During the event, we’ll showcase our approach to mechanical regeneration and how we transform complex textile waste, from noble and technical fibres to production scraps, into new valuable materials and applications.

We’ll also share how staple fibres can be transformed into fibre pellets for moulding solutions, opening new application possibilities that go far beyond the textile industry.

From regenerated fibres to customized in-house solutions, our goal is to maximize material value, extend textile lifecycles, and rethink waste as a resource.

If you’re attending, come meet us and discover how we’re helping companies build more circular and innovative material processes.

See you in Brussels 🇧🇪

What materials can be processed through our Closeoop process?

The short answer? A very wide range 😎

We work with textile materials in all their forms, from natural fibres such as wool and cotton, to man-made and synthetic fibres, up to high-performance materials including aramid fibres.

Each material presents different characteristics, behaviours and processing requirements. For this reason, our approach is not standardised: it is built around the specific properties of the input, with the objective of preserving its technical value throughout the regeneration process.

From noble fibres to industrial and technical materials, what matters is not the origin or the previous use, but how the material is selected, treated and reintroduced into the system.

This allows us to extend the life of fibres across multiple applications, maintaining consistency, performance and reliability.

In our vision, versatility is not about processing everything in the same way: it is about knowing how to treat each material in the right way.

In the textile industry, value is often associated with what is new.At , we start from a different assumption: value is already there - it just needs to be recognised 🔎

Every material carries a history of performance. Length, strength, composition: these characteristics do not disappear after use. More often, what is missing is not quality, but the ability to identify it and work with it effectively.

This is where our approach takes shape.

We focus on selecting, processing and transforming textile materials with a clear objective: preserving their technical integrity while enabling them to re-enter industrial processes in a meaningful way.

It is a work of precision, but also of perspective.

Working with recycled fibres is about redefining how value is measured across the system. From raw material to regenerated input, each step is designed to extend performance and maintain consistency.

At Closeoop, shapes how materials are selected, processed and reintroduced into the system 🔄

Today, trustability in the textile industry is no longer optional - it’s essential.

Behind every garment lies a complex journey made of materials, processes, suppliers, and people. Understanding where products come from, how they are made, and what impact they generate is becoming a key part of building a more responsible textile supply chain.

In the latest appointment with , we explore the importance of textile : from raw fibres to finished products, and why measuring environmental impact, monitoring processes and increasing supply chain visibility are shaping the future of the industry.

We believe trustability is not just about compliance - it’s about awareness, accountability, and better decision-making across the entire value chain 🔍

The textile industry still relies heavily on virgin raw materials, a model that continues to raise important questions about its long-term sustainability.

Producing new fibres requires vast amounts of water, energy, and chemicals, while at the same time valuable materials already in circulation are too often discarded after just one life cycle, losing their potential far too early.

Today, less than 1% of textiles are recycled into new fibres (source: Ellen MacArthur Foundation – A New Textiles Economy: Redesigning Fashion’s Future), not because this transformation is technically unfeasible, but because the system itself has not been designed to support it at scale.

As a result, linear production remains the dominant model, while circularity is still treated as an exception rather than the standard the industry should be moving toward.

At Closeoop, we actively work to challenge this imbalance.

Through our mechanical regeneration process, we are able to recover both pre- and post-consumer textile waste, reducing the dependency on virgin resources and reintroducing existing materials into the value chain without compromising on quality or performance.

True innovation does not necessarily lie in creating something new, but in finding more efficient and responsible ways to enhance the value of what already exists.

The future of textiles will not be built on continuous extraction, but on the ability to regenerate, optimize, and rethink the lifecycle of materials ♻️

Closeoop: your partner for customized textile development 💡

In a rapidly evolving textile industry, standard solutions are often no longer enough.

Each project comes with its own constraints, goals, and technical challenges, which is why flexibility and adaptability have become essential, not optional.

At Closeoop, we approach every collaboration as a unique development path.

Thanks to ’s industrial expertise and our dedicated R&D center, we support our partners in transforming complex requirements into concrete, scalable solutions, always maintaining a high level of precision and control over the process.

Whether the need is for large-scale production or smaller, highly customized batches, our approach remains the same: combining technical know-how, material expertise, and a strong focus on quality.

We believe that true innovation doesn’t come from one-size-fits-all solutions, but from the ability to design processes around specific needs.

Let’s work together to shape a more flexible, circular, and responsible textile industry!
