We knew we were coming to the holy land of cycling for 2026 Bolero UEC Gravel European Championships
A place where life seems to run on beer and cycling, surrounded by cows, horse stables, winding roads and endless green — landscapes so beautifully untouched they almost feel made for riding a bike.
But knowing it is one thing.
Seeing it is something else entirely.
The sheer number of people lining the course was incredible. And then came that first climb.
One kilometre of road with barely a gap between one fan and the next. Flags from every corner of Europe. Amateurs and professionals riding the very same course. And everyone — absolutely everyone — cheering, encouraging and supporting everyone else.
That’s where we saw real cycling.
Real passion.
Real love for the sport.
We saw hugs, laughter, wide smiles and a few tears. Tears for those who had to pull out. Tears for those who crossed the finish line. Tears for those who won.
Because on days like this, everyone is a hero.
And, as always, events like these are about so much more than the athletic challenge. They are precious opportunities to test ourselves, push our limits, meet people, share stories and make new friends along the way.
It was beautiful. All of it.
Thank you, Belgium. 🇧🇪
We’ll be back.
Oh, and sorry… we almost forgot about the team report. 😅
Well, we knew we had the potential to aim for some great results, but this time we decided to settle for a little less.
Watching our Philipp Philipp Bachl stay inside the Top 10 for almost three laps had us absolutely buzzing. Matteo MATTEO CIGALA lived every one of those kilometres with his hearts in his mouths.
Then came the moment when they decided those legs might be better saved for another day.
Because the season is long.
And the next Belgian round of the GRAVEL EARTH SERIES is already waiting for us.
Nicolò Nicolò Ferrazzo and Davide Davide Arnaboldi finished respectively 18th and 125th, and we’re pretty sure both of them had a little more suffering left in the tank. But that’s racing.
Now it’s time to put the legs up.
Recover.
Enjoy a well-deserved beer. 🍺
And then…
See you Sunday in Bouillon. 🇧🇪
