• A Momentous Occasion • ✨

One of the things I love most about jewellery is its ability to immortalise a moment — to capture a memory, a milestone, or an emotion and transform it into something tangible that can be carried through life.

This piece celebrates a very special transition: a young woman completing her Maturità exams and taking her first steps towards university and the adventures that lie ahead. 🎓✨

Created using family heirloom gold and gemstones, we chose a design that is classic, timeless, and understated — a reflection of her own style and personality.

More than a piece of jewellery, it is a small talisman.
A reminder of the love, encouragement, and support of her family, always close to her as she begins this exciting new chapter. 💛

Some milestones deserve to be remembered forever.

• Striking Signets • ✨

Today I decided to experiment with a series of signet rings with a twist.

Each piece was sand-cast, preserving the beautiful organic texture created by the casting process. I then selectively polished certain areas, creating contrast, depth, and a sense of three-dimensionality that changes as the light moves across the surface.

And of course… what would a funky signet ring be without a few interesting stones? 💎

The combination of raw texture, polished highlights, and colourful gemstones gives each ring its own personality and character.

I’ve just finished a wonderful two-day intensive course with the incredibly talented , helping to hone and refine her already impressive skills at the bench.

In just two days, we managed to dive into prototyping, design development, and stone setting techniques — a full-on but incredibly rewarding learning experience!

These bespoke sessions are always designed around the individual maker: their goals, ideas, and the direction they want to take their work.

Hopefully she’s leaving with a head full of inspiration, new techniques, and exciting plans for the future. ✨

I can’t wait to see where she takes these skills and designs next!

✨ The Best Week in Brighton ✨

A huge thank you to for such an incredible week!

It started with two days of filming for my upcoming online course on Mitsuro Hikime (stay tuned! 👀✨), followed by my two-day intensive Mitsuro Masterclass at the Brighton school.

It’s been such a wonderful experience, and I already can’t wait to be back for the next course in June!

A heartfelt thank you to Jess, all the amazing staff, the film crew, and everyone who made my stay such a joy and made me feel instantly at home. 💛

And of course… a massive thank you to all my students for being such a brilliant group. I can’t wait to see what you create with this technique — please stay in touch!

Also… to anyone who knows her from her courses at JA, I think we can all agree that is an absolute gem. It was so special to see you again after all these years — you’re a legend! ✨

🔥 Rising from the Sand and the Flames 🔥

A brave and bold sand-cast ring, celebrating the raw beauty of the casting process.
The organic texture formed in the sand has been preserved and enhanced, giving the piece a powerful, almost elemental character.

At its centre, a vivid purple amethyst adds a flash of colour and brilliance — a precious spark rising from metal shaped by sand and flame.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of welcoming an incredibly talented aspiring maker who travelled all the way from America to study with me.
If that isn’t an honour, I don’t know what is!

She journeyed for nearly 24 hours to spend a week learning with me at the bench, surrounded by inspiration from the beautiful Italian countryside.
This was a bespoke training programme, designed entirely around her goals, ambitions and interests — making the experience completely unique to her.

It was an intense and rewarding week of learning, focusing mainly on stone setting techniques, with a sprinkle of alternative methods and creative exploration along the way.

An amazing experience for both of us, and I’m already looking forward to welcoming her back for the next learning retreat.

In the meantime, a few other students will soon be joining me at the bench for the same immersive experience.
