Originally the standard issue replacement strap for NATO military commanders during the Cold War, G10 or NATO bands were only noticed when James Bond wore one with Rolex Seamaster in the movies Goldfinger and Thunderball. The NATO strap's crowing moment came as the first watch strap on the Moon when it was used by Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin with an Omega Speedmaster. Since

then, the original NATO strap has taken many forms - as both a strap of utility and unique identity. With the advent of smart watches however, the NATO strap of last century has grown obsolete by interfering with key features such as charging and heart rate monitoring. Southern Straps has made fixes, tweaks, and extensively testied a new NATO strap which stays true to the principles of of the old - a watch band which is meant to change quickly, last forever and provide a unique look amongst a sea of similarity.
