A Dive into Time
The pool that tells the time and transforms it into an experience.
This is a concept developed to mark the market debut of IFC, a new company founded by professionals with extensive experience in the swimming pool industry.
The idea grew from a simple yet surprising intuition: to transform the swimming pool into a large water clock.
At its centre, two diving boards become the hands of the clock: one marking the hours, the other the minutes.
Just like a real clock, their position constantly changes, continuously redefining the perception of the space and creating a dynamic relationship between water, movement and time.
The access walkway provides the fixed reference needed to read the pool as a clock face: ideally aligned with 12 o’clock — the noon/midnight axis — it establishes the orientation of the entire composition and makes it possible to interpret the position of the two moving diving boards.
Even the pool’s perimeter is reimagined. Instead of conventional railings or safety fences, access to the water is defined by a continuous barrier of vertical water jets rising from the ground around the pool.
The fountains create a protective yet visually permeable boundary, interrupted only at the access walkway, turning a functional safety element into part of the architecture and spectacle of the pool.
The pool is no longer simply a functional space for swimming or relaxation, but becomes an immersive experience, an iconic feature capable of combining visual impact, identity and symbolic meaning.
With this project, IFC introduced itself to the market with a clear message: bringing to the world of swimming pools not only technical expertise, but also vision, originality and the ability to innovate.
Because sometimes the best design is the one that can transform an everyday gesture — like diving into a pool — into something unexpected and memorable.
