2024, a moment in Granada. I got lost looking for a cave where I had herd they do Flamenco shows. A woman pointed me the right way on the stairs.
Later that night she was on stage at Zambra Zincalé — keeping rhythm in a flamenco cave.
At the end of the show she looked at me across the room and asked:
You’re from India, from Rajasthan, aren’t you?
Flamenco traces its roots to Romani nomads from Rajasthan. She knew I knew.
We hugged. Raised a glass.
The Granada. Forest green suede. The Red Heart inside. Two worlds that were never really apart.
