It's the most portrayed flower in art and symbolizes purity, innocence, and royalty.
Originally created for the Guicciardini, a noble Florentine family, this design is a riot of flowers and stylized plant motifs, typical of traditional textile iconography.

The Antico Setificio Fiorentino was among the exhibitors at the first “Fiera dell’Artigianato” (Craft Fair), the 90th edition of which recently concluded at the Fortezza da Basso.
The Marucelliana Library in Florence organized an exhibition, curated by Dr. Chiara Marzi, that traces the origins of this important Craft Fair.
Our textile company is featured in the exhibition with a technical data sheet, dating back to the 1930s, for one of the oldest fabrics in the ASF historical archive, the Roselline brocatelle.
The production data sheet on display bears witness to the passage of time and the historical events that have unfolded, as it bears traces of the 1966 flood.
The exhibition runs until May 29, 2026.
