ME Coco Design

ME Coco Design Art, design and creativity Ciao! After years of collecting beautiful fabrics for my own use, I began to design them myself.

I’m Maria Elena Coco, an Italian surface designer based in Gorizia, Italy, graduated in Interior Design from Florence University. The most satisfying side of this work is seeing designs come to life on everyday products and I was so enthusiastic about this, that I decided to make a career out of it. Strongly inspired by the beauty of nature around us, I love playing with colors and shapes, exploring new styles and techniques, improving my skills day after day.

Sun-bleached hues and shifting geometry. I’ve been waiting to show you how this new faded ikat pattern looks in a real space, the Cerulean Blue feels just like a breath of fresh sea air on raw linen texture.

It’s a single design created to adapt to different moods, also available in Sage Green and Coral Red.

Swipe to see the other colorways and tell me: if you had to pick a shade for your summer bedroom escape, which one would it be? 👇

The inspiration for "Hothouse Florals" came while thinking back to a visit to the historic Schönbrunn Greenhouse in Vienna. ✨ I wanted to capture that moment of pure magic with this lush tropical escape 🌺

Swipe to see how it moves on a summer dress and creates an exotic sanctuary as a wallpaper. Now live on !

⛵Who wants to go sailing? 🙋‍♀️
The weather is warming and I'm looking forward to spending as much time as possible by the sea!🌊
I made this design for the Modern Nautical Design Challenge thinking of my younger days, when I was so lucky to take some boat trips. I once took a ride to Venice aboard a 1913 sailing ship! It was such an amazing experience 🤩
And you? Have you ever taken a boat ride? Tell it to me in the comments! 👇

I’ve been quietly working on something quite bold lately…
I spent countless hours designing this new collection, Maximalist Fantasy Floral, as part of the .

This vibrant palette felt like the perfect playground, and I had so much fun immersing myself in these colorful botanicals.

I started from peacocks and built a whole imaginative world around them, mixing lush florals, bold contrasts, and a balance of realistic and more fantastical details.

Designed with statement pieces in mind, these patterns are created to stand out across fabrics, home decor and wallpaper.

Available on .
Feel free to get in touch for licensing and collaborations.

A retro twist on Art Nouveau ✨
This week’s Retro Nouveau challenge came with a prompt that left plenty of room for interpretation — maybe even a little too much. So I followed my instincts and ended up in the place that felt the most natural: a quiet pond filled with water lilies, lotus blooms, and tiny dragonflies floating above the water, with stained glass elements.
This pattern is my entry for the Spoonflower Retro Nouveau challenge, and it’s now available on and

I'd love to introduce you to my latest design, a jewel-toned paisley with 70s boho vibes. I've been working on this for weeks and I really had a lot of fun here. I started with hand drawing sketches and I was really happy to see how it was turning out day by day! I made three different colorways, but my favourite is the original, the blue one. And what's your favourite variation?
