During the creation of the "Mixer" series installation, the control of the material itself brought the designer many difficulties and surprises. The application of the wet extension process is the first time that it has been applied to a three-dimensional device on such a large scale and combined with a lightweight structure for 3D printing. For the installation part of ceramics, from proofing, to production and then to later transportation, the designer team and artisans have had many communications and attempts, and they have tried and tried, and finally they have been perfectly presented.

Every year, PINWU design studio will apply the content of the annual research theme of to a different design project, with the theme for 2023-2024 being "Casting". While studying the casting process, the designers found a visually appealing step - stirring. By stirring, the material is broken up, reassembled, mixed, and then cast.
In this installation, designers took the element "Mixer" as the main shape to express a dialogue between "tradition" and "future". This dialogue is like constructing a bridge of time and space, separating the different elements under the two concepts of time, decomposing, reassembling, and casting again...

In "Dream Butterfly" art installation project, we used an important Chinese traditional craft, kite. We made the frame of all the installations same with the traditional craft in kite as bamboo. This way could make full use of the light and flexible properties of bamboo. We specially invited Master Dishen CHENG, a nonphysical cultural heritage descendant of kite craft, to make the bamboo structures for this series of installations. Combining modern materials such as leather and silk, we designed a delicate and simple connection method. The "Rubik cube" was also created using Nobilia's wood boards, with details decorated with traditional mortise and tenon joint technique. Taking tradition as the "bone", the new craft attaches to the tradition with a contemporary look, presenting a new visual effect.

Bamboo kite is an ancient Chinese traditional craft, which makes full use of the light and flexible properties of bamboo. In the project of the art installation "Dream Butterfly", designed for Nobilia flag store in Hangzhou China, we wanted to create weightless objects that could float in the air. Bamboo kite craft could provide this installation with the right language and context to create the story we wanted. We specially invited Master Dishen CHENG, a nonphysical cultural heritage descendant of kite craft, to make the bamboo structures for this series of installations.

We created five scenes, namely, the beginning of dream butterfly, butterfly dance with stars, butterfly gush out with sunset, the boat in the dream, leaves fall down and butterfly back home, respectively representing a dream. The butterflies shuttle between them, from the birth to dissipation of butterfly to glimpse the life of them from micro to macro.
