Who We Are
We are a Peruvian based company that promotes Peruvian Alpaca products through sustainabilty. We help to keep local ancient traditions alive whilst maintaining high standards. Therefore our products are of the finest handmade quality! Traditional weaving was and still is an imperative part of identity in the high Andes of Peru, alongside traditional alpaca herding and the use of the local Quechua language. Since Quechua was initially an oral language, weaving was the method by which individuals communicated their thoughts and emotions about the natural world. They told stories and recorded their histories in this way.
Woven textiles were an imperative measure of wealth, and assumed a focal part in civil and religious ceremonies. The spin of the yarn, the images woven into the textiles, the colours and methods used, all show us information about the weaver and where they originated from.
