Wearing my newly created grosgrain off-white dress woven in bio-nylon and pima cotton and the handmade sphere brass choker for the luncheon of the Switzerland Tourism Office which presents the very best of Switzerland🇨🇭. I’m deeply honored to be a frequent guest at their events in Brazil. Zürich was my home for 3 years and the city I was maybe the happiest, with people who completely changed my life and will be forever in my heart. If there is one thing I learned from living in this country is how serious the Swiss deal with the whole issue of sustainability - in governance, legislation and routine matters. I believe this is a consequent trait of a civilization proud of its natural heritage, born with its athletic outdoor personalities and sense of collectiveness. People only relate Swiss luxury to their famed ski resorts and watchmaking tradition but are unaware of where the true luxury of the country lies: a huge rural/heritage-driven economy of local and organic goods, 1/3 of the country’s surface area is virgin nature (determined by a + 125-year-old law), unbeatable air and water quality… the list could go on forever. We all have so much to learn from the Swiss. The 1st country to make history and vote for a green agenda, their rigorous residue/recycling system (that every citizen learns and obeys), the world’s best urban developments (for all social classes), their strong commitments to CO2 reduction (Switzerland reduced 50% in 30 years, will reduce 45% more by 2030 and zero it before 2050). However, Switzerland’s biggest asset is not any of the mentioned. It’s the generosity, hospitality, kindness and modesty of the Swiss. A small but very multicultural nation with different ancestries. I’m an eye-witness that Switzerland is a land of thousands of opportunities for every person and I’ll be forever in debt with everything Switzerland gave and still gives me. ❤️
