Lambrate Design District

Dear all,

We want to thank everyone, visitors, exhibitors, journalists, partners, location owners, fitters and supporters of all kinds who have believed in the Lambrate Design District project all these years and allowed us to carry out a great and iconic event during the Milan Design Week.

The last Fuorisalone in Lambrate took place in 2019 with over 13,000 square meters set up, 400 international exhibitors and 100,000 visitors.
In 2020 due to the restrictions implemented to contain the spread of the pandemic and in 2021 the postponement of the Salone del Mobile to September made it impossible for us to carry out an event that lived up to the expectations of our exhibitors and visitors.
In the past two years, Lambrate has started an urban refunctionalization, leading to a transformation of many locations previously used as a stage for the events. This change has seen the conversion of over 60% of the square meters previously available for the Fuorisalone into residences. For this reason, from 2022 the Fuorisalone in Lambrate, as everyone knew it, will no longer be able to take place as the remaining locations do not guarantee the economic sustainability necessary for the entire event.

Studio Agnelli, founder of the Lambrate Design District brand and Prodes Italia, a company that has organized events within the District since 2013 and has coordinated the entire event since 2018, dissolve their historic relationship to give life to other projects.

However, the Fuorisalone cannot end here for us, we are working on a new format to present in 2023 in another area of Milan. In the meantime, for this Fuorisalone 2022, we will organize an event in partnership with Brian & Barry inside the building located in via Durini.

When in artworks we meet Art and Design together with Harmony, Balance and Life, it gives us a sense of visual, but also mental and physical pleasure.
Marcello Ballardini translates the concept of pure psycho-physical well-being into his creations. A Well-being that produces incessant energy that makes us feel alive. Through light and color, the artist creates luminous "Didgeridoo" and Backlit Paintings in fiberglass. His works emanate vibrations that put humans in contact with the universe.

We officially announce the postponement of the annual event with the world of design until 2022. After careful evaluation and given the current worldwide instability due to the health emergency, the next edition of the Lambrate Design District will reopen in 2022.
The interruption will allow us to get a running start for a 2022 edition in full swing, guaranteeing not only to the realities already involved but also to all those who will join later, the visibility you deserve.
