As you might have noticed, this profile is undergoing some major changes (and more are yet to come!), so I figured it was time for a new introduction.
Hi, I am Sirio, your local non-binary Unseelie prince. While in my human disguise I live with my loving partner and two cats in Milan, where I perform as a drag artist and study burlesque, drink shameful amounts of tea, read tarots and try to live as bohemian-ly as it is possible in this capitalistic hellscape.
But most of all, I design and create garments.
Akanthia Atelier stems from my previous project, BriarRose Creations, striving to bring it forward with new energy, even higher quality and care.
It is a small, queer-owned, slow fashion brand for the whimsical, the obscure and the flamboyant.
At the moment I focus on made to order, completely custom garments inspired by history and fantasy imaginery, but I plan to offer ready to wear items very soon.
Each product is designed and crafted by my own hands with extreme passion and care.
I try to offer solutions that are as sustainable as possible, and even if working on the "traditional" female body is my strong suit, my art welcomes everyone with no distinction of gender, age, body type etc 🌈 The only requirement is being willing to embrace your true self by dressing fabulously.
I work for weddings, larp, cosplay, performances of any kind, historical of fantasy balls, photoshoots and everything else you can imagine.
