Its story starts in 1947, from the will of Antonio Poletti, who transformed the family business in a renowned company of hats manufacturing, the Melampo factory. In 1969, the founder Antonio decided to expand the production like to include other garments and installing a new plant dedicated to the production of men shirts. Over the years, Poletti family has worked for the most famous designers of
the world to develop their collections and assuring the best handcraft sartorial quality of the garment industry. Pierluigi, son of Antonio, along with his wife Fiorella, has grown the family business opening new plants in Europe and including other garments production like women blouses, dresses, skirts and trousers. In 2015, the third Poletti generation, Maria Luisa, Anna and Bruno, decided to revive the name of the first family company, Melampo, and to establish his own brand originating from the family roots. Ambitious, the two sisters Anna and Maria Luisa Poletti elaborated the first men collection and presented it in both Milan and Berlin in 2009. Then, the company expanded and moved toward feminine lines with the creation of a women collection in 2015. All the garments of the collection are hand made in Italy with the best silk, cotton and tech fabric wowed in the best mills of Italy. The many years of experience in textile (technicality and production) and the personal skills of the Poletti members (photography, architecture, design, history) converge to create a timeless style: the perfect balance between authenticity and modernity.
