The product I’d like to submit is a pendant light named Aracni6. With its delicately folded legs, it seems to descend from the ceiling. I believe this lamp aligns well with the theme of exhibition. Its lines are simple and tight, without ornament, making it a modern reinterpretation of classic chandeliers while clearly evoking the shape of a spider.

Moreover, this chandelier explores the notion of comfort: on one hand, it provides the necessary luminous comfort, but on the other, its shape may create an unpleasant atmosphere for some.

Finally, it naturally raises the question of the usefulness of these small creatures, which we are increasingly driving out of our indoor spaces.

The Crochet series is a symbiosis of cultural heritage, advanced design and functional elegance. Inspired by the ancient art of knitting, this collection immerses us in the comfort of home and family traditions, silently announcing a new era in indoor lighting.

The metal construction of the floor lamp, reminiscent of intertwined spokes, combined with a flexible silicone diffuser whose loops resemble knitting, creates an unusual visual image, devoid of frills and maintaining a minimalist aesthetic.

Crochet softly illuminates a space, combining functionality and art into a unified whole. Having received the prestigious Red Dot 2024 award, the series confirms its status as a true masterpiece of lighting design, capable of becoming the centerpiece of any interior solution.

Ècdiṡi is a reclaimed glass table that tells the story of material transformation by Sara Artioli. Its textured surface, with distortions and reliefs, interacts with a geometric support, creating a contrast between strength and fragility. Light enhances every imperfection, celebrating regeneration and challenging the idea of perfection.

More than an object, Ècdiṡi is a metaphor for an ever-evolving existence, balancing between order and chaos.

Mission

Alpha District nasce dalla volontà di riscattare una zona urbana multisfaccettata che ha il potenziale per diventare un punto di connessione, sharing e cultura tramite le iniziative legate al design. La forte vocazione al rinnovamento del quartiere del Portello, un tempo sede dello stabilimento Alfa Romeo, fa sì che si crei il bisogno di una visione comune.

Il distretto, che sorge lungo l’asse viario che collega FieraMilanoCity con le aree espositive di Rho, è una tra le zone di Milano più recentemente trasformate e ricche di architettura d'autore. Sfruttando la potenzialità di mobilità condivisa della città, Alpha District si presenta come hub principale di arrivo e partenza globale.
