BEFORE THE SKETCH, BEFORE THE SAMPLE

Every shoe starts with a foundation.

Before the sketch.
Before the materials.
Before the first sample.

There is the last.

The last defines proportions, fitting, volume and the overall character of the product.

It is one of the most important tools in footwear development and the starting point of every successful shoe.

For more than 30 years, understanding this foundation has been an essential part of my work.

FROM PAPER TAPE TO AI

More than 30 years ago, every shoe started with paper tape on the last, pencils and manual development.

Since then, the tools have evolved:
technical drawings, 2D CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D rendering and, more recently, AI.

Each new technology has helped improve speed, communication and development efficiency.

But successful footwear design has never been about tools alone.

Product knowledge, technical expertise, construction, fitting, materials and market understanding remain the foundation of every project.

Technology supports the process.

Experience drives the result.

The tools change.
The passion for footwear design remains the same.

30 YEARS OF FOOTWEAR DESIGN

Every pair of shoes starts with an idea, a sketch, a material, and a passion for creating something meaningful.

My journey in footwear began in the 1980s, working directly inside factories and learning the craft from the ground up. In 1991, I started my independent design career, and in 1995 I founded Studio Moda.

For more than three decades, I have been dedicated to designing children's footwear, transforming concepts into commercial products for international markets.

From traditional craftsmanship to modern footwear creation.

- Fit: perfect
- Sole: flexible and light

I have been working in this sector as a technician and designer for 40 years, and I can confirm that these shoes have nothing to envy from the famous brands worldwide.
