È sicuramente tra le domande più chieste nel corso degli ultimi tempi. L'intelligenza artificiale sarà in grado di superare la genialità umana? È un nuovo giocatore in squadra o è un futuro avversario?

No, non c'entra il New Jersey né Jersey Shore.
Il nome "Jersey" deriva dal nome di un'isola, al largo della costa francese della Normandia (affiliata al Regno Unito), i cui nativi sono noti da secoli per la lavorazione a maglia di materiali resistenti simili a maglioni di lana. Le maglie venivano utilizzate dai marinai locali per la loro resistenza e capacità di trattenere il calore. Queste caratteristiche lo rendevano un tessuto ideale per gli sport di contatto.
Verso la seconda metà del XIX secolo il termine “jersey” divenne sinonimo del termine “divisa sportiva”. Durante questo periodo, le maglie sportive avevano poca somiglianza con le loro voluminose magliette ancestrali, ma il concetto rimase impresso nella mente delle persone.

Nata nel 1970, in quell'edizione parteciparono solo 127 atleti; ad oggi sono 55.000 i partecipanti di ogni età e genere, da tutto il mondo e non è difficile trovare outfit buffi o inusuali.
