Repost • East fortune race report
We headed to Eastfortune on the 25th April for round 3&4 of the Scottish Championship.
Qualified on Pole and felt good on the bike.
Race 1- I was leading the race when the clutch on my bike decided to start slipping and got worse throughout the race. I pulled in as I wasn’t sure how many laps were left and didn’t want to make it worse than what it already was.
I wasn’t going to make it out for race 2 as we didn’t have a spare clutch with us. Race 2 ended up being moved to Sunday because we ran out of time for doing all the races on Saturday.
Thanks to my dads friend Kev for coming down from Aberdeen with the spare clutch we had at home. Dad managed to get the clutches fitted on Sat night so I could get out for the 3 races on Sunday.
Race 2 from Sat had to be cancelled and we got more laps added into the last race on Sunday.
Sunday I went out for a few laps in the warm up to test out the clutch, and everything felt better, managing to put in faster lap times.
Race 2- I came away with first
Race 3- another 1st
We head to Eastfortune again on the 16th May for the Tom Dickie races.
