The project is due to Nicolas Meletiou’s passion, entrepreneur of international experience with Greek origins, the DNA of a marathon runner and the heart of a father. It was Christmas of 2010 and Nicolas received as a present from his wife, who passed away only a few months later, a handcrafted medal display cabinet. It was a wish come true, difficult to fulfill as a medal display of this type is
not available on the market. On that occasion the family is gathered, the English side too. The gift becomes an incentive and it is the dawning of an idea that, with the suitable alterations, could become a design object that all athletes could easily find, so as to display their medals to remember their own moments of sporting satisfaction. The project takes off from here and develops in England, as this was the wish of Nicolas’ wife. This spirit of love towards life and sport continues to accompany the idea, that becomes more and more tangible, unique and full of beauty. Today the entire staff, that works between England and Italy, sees the realization of the Medal In Frame project as the achievement of a goal. MIF will be distributed solely through the website and during the main Marathons all over the world and, by company choice, a part of the profits from each frame will be donated towards charitable projects.
