LA CURA , the Inspiration: Pop Provocation and the Female Form.....
"La Cura" is a suspended luminous sculpture that explores the boundary between industrial design and pure Pop Art provocation. The artwork is a bold, deconstructed tribute to female anatomy, a material investigation that challenges the conventions of contemporary lighting. The designer plays with volumes and visual shock, transforming a functional object into a disruptive aesthetic manifesto, designed to dominate the scene within eclectic interior designs and avant-garde exhibition spaces.
Material Contrasts: Steel, Color, and Silicone
Entirely hand-forged, the artwork's architecture revolves around an extreme tactile and visual contrast. The base is a rigorous steel sphere, manually cut to create sinuous, asymmetrical openings. The true artistic short-circuit is the embedding of a hyper-realistic element: a genuine silicone implant, which gives the piece an unexpectedly soft and tactile dimension. The chromatic narrative pushes the Pop aesthetic even further: the exterior of the sphere is treated with an exclusive "ceramic effect," a white base where multicolored solvent-melted drips create a vibrant, unrepeatable dripping texture. The interior, by contrast, is left as mirror-polished raw steel to maximize light reflections.
The Lighting Signature: Dual Illumination
The artwork integrates a sophisticated dual-lighting system that enhances its theatrical three-dimensionality. Inside the sphere, an LED bulb projects an intense glow against the polished steel, unleashing luminous energy from the inside out. However, the true touch of engineering class lies in the ceiling rose: not merely a mounting fixture, but a structure that houses a recessed LED micro-spotlight (4W), specifically designed to illuminate the sculpture from above. In this perfect luminous dialogue, the spotlight highlights the artwork's colors and volumes, while the artwork itself softly illuminates the surrounding environment. Completing the installation is a steel tension wire paired with a pink textile power cable.

Life On Mars
Is a floor-standing luminous sculpture that pays tribute to David Bowie and the dreamy "Space Age" aesthetic. Italian designer Dario Nasuti aimed to create a sharp contrast between the mechanical density of the steel sphere and the absolute transparency of its support. Thanks to a high-quality plexiglass cylinder (Ø 25 cm, H 50 cm), the spherical structure appears to hover in mid-air, allowing the observer to appreciate the sculpture's complete roundness without visual interruption. The Process: 250 Modules in Metamorphosis The core of the work is the same as the Planet Gong series: a meticulous manual assembly of 250 steel cones (originally traditional Sicilian pastry molds) transformed into sculptural modules. Each cone is joined by hand in the Parma workshop according to an asymmetric rhythm. This "instinctive" construction ensures that the sphere's shape and its luminous fissure are unique: every Life On Mars is a one-of-a-kind piece that can never have an identical twin. Lighting Direction and Chromatic Alchemy The visual effect is designed to be both dramatic and welcoming: Invisible Base: The plexiglass tube acts as an ethereal pedestal, almost disappearing from view when the lamp is lit. Mirrored Light: Inside the sculpture, a 7W LED bulb with a silver-topped dome reflects light onto the internal walls of the cones. The result is chromatic alchemy: the warm light transforms the silver of the steel into a deep golden glow, emerging from the asymmetrical crack and casting geometric shadows on the walls. Avant-Garde Handcraft from Italy Entirely self-produced in Italy, this lamp represents the perfect synthesis of creative upcycling and the precision of Parma’s mechanical excellence. It is a piece dedicated to collectors who love experimental design and works that tell a story of material transformation.
