The Italian Collector. “The longer that I live in Italy, the more I am convinced that the most beautiful things have already been created, it is simply a question of finding them”

These hand-blown Murano Glass vases were created for Fendi Casa and are no longer in production. Collectors of vintage Fendi home pieces will recognise these as part of the Archived Fendi Casa design story - an increasingly hard-to-find chapter in the brand's history. They were sourced as a rare remaining lot on a recent trip to Venice. Each have the Fendi stamp etched into the glass. Although not dated, these out-of-production pieces were likely made between 1988 and 2020.

'Perfectly Unmatching' Sets of 1930s Murano Glasses for Wine,  Prosecco and Aperitivo. With stems like high jewellery, twisted and beaded, knotted and ribbed, the bowls impossibly light in extraordinary lagoon colours. Glass after glass, more intricate, more beautiful, and more improbable than the last.

Murano, Venice, February 2026

Part 3/3

Back in Florence, we have hand‑selected these jewels and placed them into 'perfectly unmatching' sets of eight. Every set is a tiny cabinet of curiosities: eight singular Murano glasses that belong together precisely because they do not match. There are only a few sets in existence.

Made for the most interesting lunch or dinner table, where every guest is given their own glass. In keeping with their noble character, each set has been titled according to its position in Venetian society: Contessa, Principe and Marchesi.

Heirloom pieces from a vanished Venice.

Murano, Venice February 2026
Part 2/3

Sitting on the cement floor, we unwrapped each glass one by one. Each parcel revealed a single hand‑blown coupe, prosecco flute, wine or aperitivo glass – no pairs, no sets, just lone masterpieces.

The stems are like high jewellery, twisted and beaded, knotted and ribbed; the bowls impossibly light, in washed tones of rose, lilac, lagoon blue, amber and celadon. Glass after glass, each more intricate, more beautiful, and more improbable than the last.

Murano, Venice, February 2026
Part 1 / 3

Somewhere on Murano, behind an unmarked door, an old furnace keeps a warehouse of unopened boxes. A dear friend recently took me to this top secret location and inside, we found what Venice forgot: one‑off Murano coupes, flutes and goblets with stems like high jewellery and glass in the palest lagoon colours.Inside each box were the forgotten pieces from Venice’s great glass houses: small remainders from closed furnaces and shops, carefully wrapped and then abandoned.

'One of Campari's most important historic posters', Leonetto Cappiello’s “Bitter Campari” (1921) is an early original lithographic affisso printed in Italy for Les Nouvelles Affiches – Cappiello, which makes it incredibly sought after. Cappiello's Clown is one of the defining images in Italian advertising. Surviving first‑edition examples in this 100 × 70 cm format and A– condition, with “Stampato in Italia” and the original margins present, are scarce and much sought after by poster collectors and auction houses. Often called the father of modern advertising poster design, Cappiello brought a graphic clarity and humour that transformed commercial art in the early 20th century and continues to influence visual branding today. Framed and ready to hang, this work offers a rare glimpse of an authenticated, early Italian printing of one of Campari’s most important historic posters.

Dimensions: H100 x W70cm
