“Delivering the Dream” comes alive in the Vitale Barberis Canonico showroom in a discussion to talk about different experiences and prospectives of today’s fashion & luxury world.
Alongside the authors of the book “Delivering the Dream,” Erica Corbellini, Tenured Lecturer at Bocconi University, Department of Management and Technology; and Tomaso Galli, strategic adviser in fashion communications and marketing, the other participants are Richard Bao, brand strategist and cross-cultural consultant; and Diego Kress, a young student who is passionate about the fashion universe. An open conversation moving between research, strategy and new creative sensibilities, which explores the central topics of the book: desirability, cultural identity and the construction of the value of modern luxury.

Few colours understand how to interpret the depth of a face as does purple. Cooler tones enhance light, rosy tints, while the warmer tones softly envelop more golden complexions. Purple is a colour that shapes without hardening, that gives intensity without rigidity and natural elegance without ostentation.

Among the dyes which have marked history, purple holds a special place. For centuries, it was a colour reserved for the nobility, not only because of the rarity of the pigments used, but for the aura of prestige which had built up around it. When, in the 1800s, the first synthetic dye in history was discovered - mauveine – purple suddenly became accessible to everyone and it conquered Europe: from crinolines to silks, it transformed cities into a mosaic of new colours. Since then, purple has remained a colour of great character, able to bring together elegance and experimentation with its own unique twist.

May wears purple. Nature reaches its peak, perfumes intensify, colours become deeper. Purple interprets this moment with natural elegance: it arises from the meeting between calm and eagerness as May unites the last delicateness of spring with the energy of the imminent summer. A meditative, and simultaneously vital, nuance to accompany a month of harmony.

Solaro® Made in Italy reveals itself to the light.
It is in sunlight that the fabric expresses its most authentic nature: an iridescent surface whose reflections and depth reveal themselves when in motion, providing a unique and ever‑changing visual richness.

Vitale Barberis Canonico meets Harrisons, bringing together two historic names in textile manufacturing, united by a shared dedication to heritage, craftsmanship and the pursuit of excellence.
At the centre of this collaboration is Solaro® Made in Italy: for the first time, under an exclusive licence, the iconic British fabric is reinterpreted through the savoir-faire and sensibility of Italian weaving, while preserving the qualities that have defined it over time.
Rooted in mutual respect and a shared vision, this partnership creates a dialogue between two textile cultures and nations, where tradition and expertise meet to honour the identity of The Original Solaro® while opening it to its new expressions.
The capsule collection will be distributed by Drapers – and in the UK by Harrisons – to selected tailors and leading menswear stores worldwide from May 2026.

Today we want to talk about barathea, a fabric which has always evoked the atmosphere of famous salons and of black-tie events. Combed and sheared, with a slightly uneven surface and a thin rib that subtly captures the light, barathea comes from the weave of the same name, originating from a satin weave. It is a fabric requiring combed wool and mohair yarns in order to preserve its light weight and sheen, especially for gala evening. Sculptured suits, high-rank uniforms or refined dinner jackets: barathea has always understood how to combine rigour with grace, tradition with modernity. In wool and mohair blends, in colours like white, black or the most iconic midnight blue, which darkens in artificial light, it illuminates with refined brilliance, telling the story of discreet elegance alongside a hint of playfulness.

With the furniture designed by Dragons of Walton Street, Vitale Barberis Canonico’s iconic woollen flannel finds new expression.
Chosen to cover some of the more representative pieces of the children’s collection, from the Canopy Bed to the Bunk Bed, from the Boy’s Bed to the Hippo Armchair, through to the Giraffe Pouf and cushions, the flannel translates the woollen mill’s textile heritage into a tangible and welcoming presence, created to be a companion in a universe made up of discovery and imagination.
A celebration of childhood, where timeless craftsmanship becomes part of the memories, dreams, and wonder that shape life’s earliest years.

Material is not limited to dressing a space: it also defines its language.
In the Brera Design District, the Vitale Barberis Canonico showroom hosts the meeting with Dragons of Walton Street, the historical British luxury children’s furnishing brand, led by the creative direction of Carlo Colombo e A++ Group.
The textile heritage of the famous woollen mill is blended with the world of Dragons: its iconic worsted flannel covers some of the more distinctive pieces of the brand, transforming the fabric into a live presence, integrating with shapes, functions and atmospheres.
A dialogue between material and design that speaks of time, growth and beauty to discover from childhood on.

Yellow requires sensitivity: it suits those whose features have a natural ability of welcoming the light. On golden skins, it reveals all its warmth, while on cooler complexions it becomes a lively accent, a detail that glows without overwhelming. It is the colour of light itself and, just as the light, it changes depending on who it meets.
