Sarah arrived in Nordkapp in the early hours of Friday morning, stopping the clock at a mind-blowing 13 days, 20 hours and 27 minutes.
For context, that beats the existing outright record - men’s or women’s - by more than 3 days. Just process that for a moment.
Honestly speaking, from the moment we first met Sarah and spoke about the challenge, there was never any doubt that Sarah - and the amazing team she’s built - would achieve this. Hyperbole aside, the level of planning, training and focus this group of people has, there is nothing they couldn’t do.
The word ‘inspiration’ somehow doesn’t seem enough, in this age of hyperbole and overstimulation.
As a brand built from Audax - meaning audacious - and one which has had progression in women’s cycling as a core pillar from day one, playing a supporting role in this…well, it might never be topped. And that’s ok by us.
