Growing up in Guatemala, it was a place I loved—and now getting to experience it through my girls makes it even more special. Its colors, textiles, traditions, and little details have also been a constant source of inspiration for Folklore.

So I thought I’d share a few of our favorite places to stay, eat, play and shop in Antigua with kids, along with a few tips from me to you.

Hi, I’m Gisa! 👋🏼 It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself, and with so many new faces here, I thought it was time. 💗

I’m the founder of Folklore, a little dream that started over 10 years ago from a very personal place—wanting to share a piece of my Guatemalan roots with my daughters.

What began with a love for the colors, textiles, and craftsmanship I grew up around has become a brand made in Guatemala alongside incredibly talented artisans, creating pieces for your girls to wear, love, and one day pass down.

More than 10 years later, I still feel incredibly lucky to get to do this. Thank you for being here and for letting Folklore be a small part of your girls’ stories.
