Built Through Trust

There are collaborations that, over time, go beyond a single project and evolve into a shared way of working, experimenting and building together.

Over the past seasons, working on footwear development for SACAI has meant translating increasingly ambitious ideas into wearable forms — balancing proportion, structure and movement through boots and ankle boots designed as an integral part of the silhouette.

What makes this process meaningful is not only the final runway image, but the trust that grows over time.

The kind of trust that allows a brand to come back season after season with new challenges, new complexities and new possibilities to explore together.

Behind every look there is continuous development: prototypes, adjustments, material research and technical problem solving — a dialogue between creativity and construction that often remains unseen.

We were excited to see our shoes featured in Footwear News yesterday as part of a roundup of bold Met Gala footwear ahead of next week’s 2026 gala.

This custom pair was developed for ambassador Venus Williams for the brand’s first appearance at the Met Gala in 2025.

A look behind the scenes of this special project: from developing the base structure and sourcing materials, to building the pattern and refining the craftsmanship details that brought the shoe to life.

It was a real pleasure to collaborate with Lacoste on this design for Venus Williams — a piece that matched her energy, aligned with the gala theme, and elevated the overall look.

We especially love seeing footwear highlighted as an integral part of the outfit, not just an accessory.

Last week at the 2026 Milano Fuorisalone, our client unveiled a fully vegan couture footwear line, marking a bold new direction for vegan materials in the couture space.

From classic Mary Janes and slingbacks to cut-out boots, floral mules, and a sculptural “mohawk” pump with painted brush detail, the collection celebrates play, color and personality.

We’re proud to have supported its development using a selection of innovative materials: bio-based fur by .bio , lizard-print grape-based alternative by , citrus-derived materials by , mycelium-based material by .spa, and vegan suede by .

Presented over a breakfast with vegan pastries on the iconic Via Montenapoleone, in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, the event also featured original sketches by Creative Director .

Inside the making of the Ray Mule for — a made-to-order piece, progressing from raw material to defined form.

In our protolab, each step takes shape through hands-on experimentation and precision. Leather is cut by hand, each piece traced and shaped with intention. The upper is lasted and sanded, defining the silhouette before the iconic heel is assembled: a signature architectural block in GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete), reinterpreted from a structural material into a wearable form.

The final phase moves through refinement, finishing, and precise detailing, after which the piece is enclosed in the brand’s sleek packaging.

For the Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2026 show in Paris, we closely followed the development process of the footwear featured on the runway.

From the first design brief to material research, pattern making, prototyping, and final fitting, each style was the result of a deep technical journey. Translating creative direction into wearable, balanced, and runway-ready pieces required precision, problem-solving, and continuous refinement.

Proud to have supported the transformation of bold concepts into tangible products — ensuring that every detail, proportion, and finish aligned perfectly with the collection’s vision.
