About the acetate yarn we use at Kawasaki Ribbon 🎀

For many years, we have been creating ribbons using acetate yarn.
In the past, we worked with Mitsubishi Chemical’s acetate yarn “Linda” (now discontinued).
Today, we proudly use Naia™ Renew acetate yarn by Eastman, based in the United States.

＊Some ribbon products made with “Linda” acetate yarn remain in stock.

In Japan, only a limited number of companies are capable of dyeing acetate narrow fabrics for floral and packaging applications using continuous dyeing equipment. Kawasaki Ribbon Co., Ltd. is one of them.

Acetate is a semi-synthetic fiber made from wood pulp.
Unlike petroleum-based synthetic fibers, this material is made from naturally derived raw materials and is biodegradable.
Its soft luster, beautiful color expression, and smooth touch
are the reasons acetate has long been loved as a ribbon material.

Naia™ Renew enhances these original qualities of acetate while incorporating
renewable wood pulp and partially recycled materials.
Beyond its beauty, it is produced with traceable raw materials
and an environmentally conscious manufacturing process—
another reason we confidently choose this fiber.

Even ribbons that look and feel similar can differ greatly
in the materials used and the philosophy behind their selection.

We see ribbons not just as decorative supplies,
