KYOism was born from a lineage that has cared for kimono since 1897.
For generations, our family has believed that a kimono is not merely worn — it is brought to life through craft, care, and intention.
Rooted in Kyoto, we have long practiced the art of Sikkai — restoring, refining, and sustaining kimono so they may continue their journey across time.
This philosophy extends beyond garments. It lives in daily rituals, respect for the seasons, and a way of living that values depth over speed.
Through this mindful relationship with tradition, we have learned that true wellbeing is found not in excess, but in attention — to materials, to time, and to how we move through our days.
Today, KYOism exists between places.
With one foot in Kyoto and another in Hong Kong, we continue this legacy as a dialogue between cultures, generations, and perspectives. Honoring what has been passed down, while remaining open to what lies ahead.
KYOism is not about preserving the past as it was.
It is about allowing tradition to breathe — quietly, thoughtfully — within modern life.

KYOismは1897年創業の新染苑廣田の歩みの中から生まれました。
代々大切にしてきたのは、着物を「着るもの」として扱うのではなく、手をかけ、想いを重ね、命を吹き込むこと。
京都に根ざし、三代にわたって受け継がれてきた悉皆の仕事は、お誂え、仕立て直し、未来へとつなぐための営みです。
その姿勢は、着物に限らず、日々の習慣や季節を敬う心、丁寧な暮らしへと広がってきました。
ものと向き合い、
時間をかけることで見えてくる心地よさ。
量よりも質を選ぶこと。
そこに、私たちが考える wellbeing があります。
現在、私は香港に拠点を置き、
京都にいる両親と二人三脚でこの仕事を続けています。
受け継いできたものを大切にしながら、
京都、日本、そして海外へと、
文化の対話を広げていくこと。
KYOismは、過去を守るためのものではありません。
伝統を、今の暮らしの中で静かに息づかせていくための姿勢です。受け継がれ、育まれ、これからも続いていく物語。
