Obi Upcycled Set-up

Reinterpreting the yōkai said to be the leader of all spirits—
a presence defined by elegance, calm, and quiet authority.

This modern formal set combines a jacket, corset, and pants crafted from obi woven with gold threads and Hyakunin Isshu motifs.

Pants are reconstructed from a navy rinzu furisode with sakura patterns, adding subtle brilliance beneath the composed silhouette.

Authority, elegance, and presence—
a garment that embodies the elusive master of shadows.

着物裂き編みマクラメ、舞う一反木綿ドレス

Ittan-momen — Living Cloth
Kimono Upcycled Dress

A yōkai said to glide through the night sky as a strip of cloth.

Three kimonos are cut into cords and hand-knotted into macramé, transforming fabric itself into a moving outer layer that sways and shifts with the body.

Beneath it, a camisole dress made from black habutae and red-patterned meisen reveals a quiet glow of color from within.

Cut, unraveled, and woven again—
cloth becomes spirit, and spirit becomes garment.
