For the 79th edition, we pay tribute to two heroic rebels: Thelma & Louise. Thirty-five years after their legendary world premiere in Cannes on May 20, 1991, these icons return to the spotlight.
Their story of absolute freedom, unwavering friendship, and the courage to shatter stereotypes remains as avant-garde today as it was then. This black-and-white photograph is a celebration of life and the timeless struggle to be oneself.

第79回を迎える2026年、彼らがオマージュを捧げたのは、二人の英雄的な反逆者、『テルマ＆ルイーズ』です。1991年5月20日にカンヌでワールドプレミア公開されてから35年。彼女たちが再びポスターとなって帰ってきました。
絶対的な自由、揺るぎない友情、そしてジェンダーのステレオタイプを打ち破る強さ。1991年当時において非常に前衛的だったそのテーマは、今もなお強く響き渡ります。「自分らしくあるための自由」を求めて駆け抜けた二人のレガシーを、このモノクロームの写真に込めたようです。
