「ナダァ」とは、スリランカの三大言語のひとつであるタミル語から借りた、「歩く」という意味です。私たち女性のほとんどは、「歩く」ことをしています。このプロジェクトは、スリランカから日本へ、そして世界へ歩んでこう、という意味を込めて名付けられました。世界の女性たちは何百年も前から、自らの夢を追い求め、国境を越えて活動しているではありませんか？
私たちは日本に住みながら、スリランカの女性グループと手を取り合って歩んでおります。現地の女性たちは、長く続いた内戦や、深刻な貧困の中で厳しい状況に置かれています。でも、その中でも彼女たちは、自立のために自ら力強い一歩を踏み出した人たちです。私たちは彼女たちと共に、より美しい世界、そしてより平等な世界の実現を目指して歩んでおります。

rd from the original Tamil that is one of the three mainstream languages spoken in Sri Lanka. From Sri Lanka to Japan and across the world, have not women traversed the earth for centuries in search of their destiny?. We are women living in Japan now walking beside a another group of women in Sri Lanka who have seen poverty and war but have taken their first strong steps to move away from that hardship and stand on their own two feet. Together we are walking to realize a more beautiful and equal world.
