In my ongoing photography series featuring women & their rides, I’m thrilled to finally have gotten at least to take a couple snaps of Asaka and her Challenger. We met at the Moon Eyes Hot Rod & Custom Show in 2023 and ever since, we’ve been wanting to get together to take some photos of her and her awesome ride near her place near Nagoya. She and her Challenger were two of the stars of my latest short film, “Rumble at the Hot Bunny Diner”, and when we wrapped the film shoot, I pulled out the still camera to capture her and her Dodge while we were finally all in the same place! No lights and the sun set verrry early, but she still shines and we got a couple badass moody pinup shots to show for it. 😍🤩⚡️🥰🙌💚✨

The life of a showgirl, huh? 😉 I was contemplating my caption last week for when I would post this Showgirl-backstage-on-a-break-between-sets vibe I shot of the imminently talented and was about to use the life of a showgirl when I saw a pic of a lil someone famous goin around with the same phrase. Since she was inspired by a friend’s image of showgirls in the same location, (looking at you, 😉) I figured, why not go ahead and add to the ongoing homage to the showgirls?

Jolie is a burlesque queen, a showgirl, a burly Q instructor, a singer and leader of a band, so the music to go with is also featuring the vocal talents of the beauty herself. 🎙️🎶

The fabulous Ripley, outshining all the bright lights.

Sometimes you find these killer platform houndstooth stilettos and you just have to buy them to shoot in, and then you find a super cute minidress to match and you’re like, “I’m totally gonna save these for a shoot!” And then the next thing you know, it’s years later and you end up being the photographer while your young model friend wears them all instead. 😆🙌 thanks for finally giving this set their purpose, my friend! 🏁

December = Moon Eyes Hot Rod Custom Show in Yokohama = Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
These stills were shot on a $30 Kodak fixed lens 35mm with a gifted roll of black and white film that had expired in 2001. My latest trip to Japan + this mystery film = these mostly dark but fun results. Art. 😆📸🎞️🙌🥰
