Tips on weaning & sexing in rabbit farming.

Most farmers wean their young bunnies at 1&1/2 months - 2 months(6-8wks).
However the mistake done by most farmers is causing stress to the bunnies.
1) when your planning to wean your kits ,give them multivitamin in water for 5 days. On the 3rd day of administering multivitamins,move the mother away from the kits & not vice versa.
2) Do not introduce any new feed during this period & do not alter the previous feeding program.
3) when they are approaching 3 months of age ,we do sexing.
Identity the males( bucks) & females ( does) and keep them separately .
This is because at the age of 3 months they can start mating .
