Guia came to Kenya for the first time when she was 6 years old, and finally moved to tanzania 10 years ago; she decided to open her own brand after working in fashion for 30 years, but her mission transformed from selling style to building community empowerment;

As a white woman with an African fashion brand, she faced criticism for “selling African heritage”, and her reponse was that she was there “to promote African heritage,”

Now, settled in Kenya, Guia continues to empower local artisans around her community in Malindi and delivers exceptional pieces that reflect her initiative on creating circular economies through her brand .tz

Conversations with & her incredible fashion brand this January rotated around how to sustain retail in Africa, the only conclusion we came up with was diversification and collaboration; As one of the most impactful fashion and art brands in Africa, is creating a sustainable way to produce fashion by creating production hubs across africa; right now, is stocked in about 7 African countries with production units located between Nigeria & Kenya
