Imagine closing the door on a busy day and stepping into this quiet retreat. The clever split-level floor plan elevates the bathing area, turning an everyday routine into a luxurious ritual. This design relies on tactile layers to create warmth—from the rich, dark wood of the vanity and the subtle vertical green paneling to the smooth, sculptural curves of the freestanding tub. Warm, ambient lighting from the wall sconces reflects beautifully against the woven linen window shades and the intricate patterns of the vintage-inspired rug, offering the perfect balance of modern luxury and cozy comfort. Don’t you just love when the yarn already has a plan for you? 😂
I picked up some Bernat Blissful and first of all… the texture?? So soft and fluffy, it almost feels like you’re crocheting a cloud 🧶 It has that gentle, cozy look that already makes anything you make feel a bit more special. Then I noticed the pattern right there on the label and I was like okay, this yarn really came prepared.
No stressing about what stitch to use or how to make it look interesting—it’s literally guiding me through it. And the way it works up? Nice and plush with just enough definition to still see your stitches without losing that soft, dreamy finish.
Honestly, it feels like the yarn is doing most of the designing and I’m just here enjoying the process. Just me, my hook, and this ridiculously soft yarn coming together stitch by stitch 😌🧣
If this scarf turns out cute, we already know who deserves the credit… because Bernat Blissful did not come to play.

Trial and error is part of every handmade piece.
Sometimes the stitch doesn’t sit right, the yarn behaves differently, or the idea in your head needs a few attempts to come to life. I've frogged this one a couple of times, second guessed myself. I've been tempted to put in the basket but the beautiful smock stitch always called me back. It's better now and I'm nearly done with it.
