A few weeks ago, a lovely lady picked not 1 not 2 but 4 Ammaua Malathi Saris.
Growing up in Kenya in a small South Indian Community where we all knew each other, she picked Ammaua since it reminded her of her roots.... Indian and Kenyan all mixed up.
These stunning colours and designs flew all the way to the USA , and we are so looking forward to her enjoying them as much as we enjoyed making them for her

A few months ago, the Ammaua family grew a little more. We were so excited to make this Malathi Sari for this beautiful lady (and poet!), who carried it off with such poise and charm.
Ammaua's Malathi Saris are handloom raw silk offset with contrasting stunning vitenge embellishments. Each creation is unique... no chance of you bumping into anyone with the same sari!

What happens when beautiful meets ravishing? Heads turn! We at are pretty certain that Shilpa Krishnan turned many a head when she wore her CBS (chic black sari) Malathi sari for the first time, to the concert in Florida. She looks stunning, carrying off this drape with panache.
