ECOSTORI is a ecological firm contibuting to a healthier and more equal world. We aim to improve the geneal living standads of the people around the kariobangi area, Nairobi, Kenya. We provide quality and comfortable hand-made products at fair prices, embracing customers’ needs and workers welfare. We are aiming to use ecological materials to eliminate the bio degradable materials that pollute th
e environment. Most of our products are made from organic and recycled materials like, cotton, old tires and recycled fabrics like denim. Our products are made by Twaweza initiative, it is a young women’s group from kariobangi and korogocho slums. Through ECOSTORI we empower the women by unionize them and giving them a fair living wage to build a better future for them and their kids. These women, at a tender age, were facing challenges like:
- becoming a widow
- prostitution
- violation from men
- single parenting
- early pregnancy’s
