Autumn health regimens should adhere to the principle of "nourishing yin, reducing pungent foods and increasing sour foods." This includes adjusting your diet, such as consuming more moisturizing and yin-nourishing foods and sour fruits, getting adequate sleep and moderate exercise (primarily gentle exercise), and focusing on mental well-being and maintaining an optimistic mood. At the same time, clothing should be added or removed as needed to avoid colds.
Dietary Health
Moisturizing and Nourishing Yin: Eat more foods like white fungus, pears, lilies, sesame seeds, honey, lotus root, and milk to nourish the body and relieve autumn dryness.
Reduce Pungent and Increase Sour Foods: Eat less spicy foods like onions, ginger, garlic, and chili peppers; eat more sour fruits like apples, pomegranates, grapes, and grapefruit to strengthen lung qi.
Other Recommendations: Increase your intake of warming foods like yam and pumpkin, as well as high-quality protein like fish, eggs, and soy products.
Water: Drink small, frequent sips of water to replenish fluids.
