This week marks international breastfeeding week , the benefits to both child and mother are extensively documented and backed by science too .

As a first time mum , who had a 18months experience I would give this to a new mom :

1. Breastfeeding is natural but not automatic. Sometimes you and your baby need a little jumpstart to the journey . ASK for help

2. The journey can be lonely , wish I had journaled to better articulate the mental fogs .

3. A healthy baby and healthy mama is the goal always . Don’t die at the hill of “ a mum must breastfeed “

4. My breastfeeding season ended when I was mentally ready.
