Though ROOPA and I have collaborated on a number of occasions, this collaboration means something special to our heart - the first vegan collaboration. This is our way of leaping towards the sustainable and brighter future (especially in fashion).

The show was contained in a beautiful lush garden in the heart of New York City and it was perfect (at least in our eyes). And this print! There’s something moving about seeing our shoes on the print and I’m delighted the reception has been fabulously positive.

In this unprecedentedly strange time, it’s ever so important to appreciate beauty that exists around us and within us that NO-THING can take away. 🙏🏼

Holy Cow! This just happened.

Our first ever vegan collection in collaboration with was presented in the lush garden at the Merchant’s House Museum in the heart of New York City, partnered by

“A tribute to the beauty found around us despite challenging circumstances, The Suncatcher Collection is about hope during hardship.”

Beautifully put, this collection is completely vegan, handcrafted with intricate and exotic fabrics by artisans.

I get it: as human beings, we are hardwired to want to be liked by others.

However, I feel Koreans tend to put overly biased focus on what other people may think of them as opposed to focusing on what they ‘truly’ want in their lives, perhaps due to the culture deeply founded in Confucianism. Hence people are busy pretending to be something they’re not. We conform.

Despite all these efforts, it seems we’re drawn to the authentic expression of humans. Look at this incredible woman, 70-something years old South Korean actress, Yuh-Jung Youn, who just won the Supporting Actress Award at BAFTA.

I think many of us adore her because she’s so free and comfortable with who she is: we can all sense it and feel energized by it.

Authenticity: knowing one’s true self and being at peace with greatness and shortcomings of self.

Huge congrats , and thank you for being such an inspiration.

다른 사람들에게 미움받고 싶은 마음보단 사랑받기를 원하는 마음을 갖는 건 당연한 것 같습니다.
하지만, 우리는 마음속에서 우러나오는 나의 목소리를 듣는 것보다 남의 목소리를 먼저 눈치 보고 신경 쓰는 풍토가 있는 것 같아요.

아마도 우리 문화에 깊이 스며 들어있는 유교적 사상 때문일까요?
그래서인지 사람들은 자기 본연의 개성을 숨기고 괜찮은 가면을 만들기 바쁜 것 같아요.

하지만 반대로, 우리는 본인의 모습을 진정성 있게 그리고 솔직하게 표현하는 사람을 보면 매료 됩니다.
예를 들어, 어제 BAFTA에서 여우 조연상을 수상한 70대의 한국 여배우 윤여정을 볼 때 그런 감정을 느껴요.

배우 윤여정님은 자기 자신이 누구인지 잘 아는 것 같고 (knowing oneself), 그 자신을 숨김없이 자유롭고 또 편안하게 표현(being oneself)하기 때문에 많은 사람들이 그녀를 좋아한다고 생각해요.

그리고 우리는 스크린에서조차 그녀의 자유로운 아름다움을 느낄 수 있고, 솔직한 매력을 느끼며 색다른 에너지를 얻고 계시지 않는가요?

Hello lovely ladies! 🌟

As you know, I’ve been super quiet for the past decade (feels like that at least). Simply put, I’ve been busy working on the sustainability aspect of my business and entrepreneurship.
