the founder BongKyu Song was graduated from Kookmin University, majored in Industrial Design. He worked for Samsung Electronics Mobile Communication Division as a product designer. o, mainly he designed product, lighting, furniture design and also ran a research about the interaction between the object and the environment. In 2007 to 2008, he directed and exhibited the project, “the undesigned objects- UNDESIGNED”. In 2012, he directed the exhibition, Sulhwa Culture which Amore Pacific supervised. Not only that but also worked with the Global clients including BMW, Audi, Samsung Electronics, Siemens, Kimberly-Clark Professional, Dell and etc, mainly ran projects for product design, brand strategy which was based on design identity and advance design. Also, he worked for brand’s design consulting with Amore Pacific, Daerim Industry, Coway/Cosmetic, CJ, LG, Design House, KT, SK, Jeil Industry, Seoul Arts Center and more clients. He received several awards from varies of international design competitions including IF, Red dot, IDEA and Good design Japan. Moreover, his were introduced at exhibition and posted up on media in Italy(Super Studio), Germany(Cebit), Japan(100% Tokyo), U.K(TENT London) and France(Masion&Objet it has KCDF and Musée des arts décoratifs de Paris), ICFF(Singapore Design Fair). Currently, he is leading BKID and Matter & Matter as founder & design director. Mainly consulting on product concept development to brand design strategy and leading a consulting for service design section as well. In 2009, he was selected as the Next Generation Design leader by KIDP. And Currently he is instructing students for industrial design major at Kookmin University and Hongik University. He was also invited as a guest speaker to give lecture at Seoul Natioanl University, Seoul Design Plaza, Ehwa University, Sejong University, Gaewon University, Pechakucha, KIDP and Samsung Design Membership. He became an advisory member of Seoul Design Committee, since 2012. In 2013, he processed a design consulting under supervision of Cultural Heritage Administration for creating a cultural and modern design with Traditional Crafts Artists. In 2013, he was selected as the Design Jury for Audi Design Competition. In 2012, he was selected as a “Top 10 designers that represent Korea” from Jung-Ang News, “the Designer of Living Design in 2012” from Monthly design and in 2013, he was selected as “the young leader whom will lead Korea” from Forbes Korea.
