Did you know that cars are probably the most inefficient way of traveling? Ill be releasing a new blog on this soon but for now check out this post by Our car centered transport system is addicted to oil – fueling bloody conflict and the climate crisis.

It is also incredibly wasteful! So much public space has been surrendered to cars.

It's time to give space back to the people:

✔️ Better public transport
✔️ Better support for shared mobility
✔️ Better cycling and walking infrastructure

It is time to transform the way we move, shift to cleaner transport alternatives like trains, significantly reduce emissions, create good jobs, and make mobility equitable, resilient and sustainable for all.

Heres some good news for once with "I cried. I’m talking snot bubble cries. I was howling. We hadn't seen him for eight months."

A cat missing for nearly a year has been reunited with its owner after she recognised his familiar meow on the other end of the telephone while on a call to her vet.

Rachael Lawrence, from Essex, was talking to the vet about her other cat when she heard Barnaby's distinctive cry in the background.

She was told it was a stray but phoned back later and asked for details of the cat as "it was bugging me", she said - and the stray was confirmed as Barnaby.

Designed to be as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional, this “kinetic wall” is made up of an array of rotary blades that spin individually, driving a mini generator that creates electricity. The electricity is utilized in the home or business, can be stored in a wall-mounted battery, or can even be fed back into the national grid to provide revenue for the owner.

The average annual electricity consumption for an American home uses a little over 10,000 kilowatt-hours per year. One of these walls would be enough. But where Doucet sees true potential is in larger-scale commercial buildings and even cities.

Well, after extensive historical research, Jordan J Lloyd has added digital colour to the photographs. “Colour removes a level of abstraction that usually distances ourselves from the past,” Jordan says "all of a sudden, the photo feels real, more visceral.”

In 1963, a multiracial rally of a quarter of a million people marched peacefully on Washington to highlight racial injustices and put pressure on Congress to pass a civil rights bill proposed by President John F Kennedy.

The crew shows how spooked they were by the ghost nets they found, i worked on a commercial fishing boat for a few years and not only did i see these myself floatinf by as well as countless barells and other things id pull on board to throw out when we got in. I would hear of horror storys of how many different fishing industry’s ships would just cut their old tangled nets lose or fishing line because it was “too much of a hassle” to bring it back to shore out of pure laziness, this is something that needs to be accounted for. -

⚠️GREAT BREAKING NEWS: PLEASE SHARE!⚠️ A massive new coral reef, measuring about 1,600 feet, has been discovered in Australia's Great Barrier Reef, making it taller than some of the world's highest skyscrapers like the Empire State Building! Scientists found the detached reef, which is the first to be discovered in more than 120 years, in waters off North Queensland, ocean research organization Schmidt Ocean Institute announced Monday. The reef was first discovered on October 20th, as scientists completed an underwater mapping of the seafloor of the northern Great Barrier Reef. The world's largest coral reef, which covers nearly 133,000 square miles and is home to more than 1,500 species of fish, 411 species of hard corals and dozens of other species, is facing a crisis as recent studies have shown that it has lost 50% of its coral populations in the last three decades, with climate change a key driver of reef disturbance.⁠ Please share this great news with your followers and tag people, celebrities, influencers & news media who need to see it too and be made aware of our coral reef crisis as this new reef helps our planet, but now we must all work even harder to protect it too!

Why everyone hasnt switched to the clean energy option is beyond me, my supplier (eversource) said it would cost more when i switched but it ended up being a lower energy rate than ive ever recieved plus i know im doing right by the planet and supporting jobs in l renewable energy rather than coal pipelines...
