Teejay Group Welcome to the official page of Teejay Group. The factory is strategically located 55 km from the metropolis of Colombo.

Teejay (formerly know as textured jersey) is renowned for the production of superior quality knit fabrics. The company is history goes back nearly half a century, when its British roots gave it a solid grounding in the textile industry. Teejay saw ownership change hands in the year 2000 and this modest operation entered a new era in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's bustling, manufacturing and export driven

approach has spurred rapid growth and economic development. Combined with its rural charm and scenic landscapes, this makes Sri Lanka an ideal setting for Teejays advanced and dynamic manufacturing facility. Teejay Lanka PLC is a Public Limited Liability Company with two of the best brands in the industry as major shareholders, Pacific Textiles and Brandix Lanka. Pacific Textiles is a Hong Kong based company with one of the largest manufacturing facilities in China. Having mastered the art of fabric making, Pacific Textiles provides Teejay with extensive support in Research and Development as well as manufacturing expertise. Brandix Lanka is the country's largest apparel exporter servicing the world's finest brands, and partners Teejay as a strategic link in the supply chain. The company acquired Teejay India private Limited d( formerly know as Ocean India Private Limited ) and Teejay Lanka Prints Private Limited ( formerly known as Quenby Lanka) in 2015 further consolidating its strategic regional presence. With the acquisions in place, ready to take on the demands of the global market place, the management decided to further consolidate as a Group, by embarking on a rebranding exercise. In October 2016 November, the company emerged with a new brand name 'Teejay.'

Teejay marked the ๐ฅ๐š๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ก ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฐ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐›๐ข๐จ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ with a mangrove enrichment planting around King's Island, Negombo, on 23 June 2026.

Under our ๐€๐›๐ก๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ซ๐š๐ก ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ ๐„๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐š๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ฒ, Teejay drives its biodiversity initiatives through "๐Œ๐ข๐ก๐ข๐ค๐š๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ๐š ๐€๐๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง". This mangrove planting marks the first initiative under our underwater biodiversity programme, supporting the restoration of Sri Lanka's coastal ecosystems.

The planting featured ๐Œ๐š๐ก๐š ๐Š๐š๐๐จ๐ฅ (๐˜™๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ป๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ข ๐˜ข๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ข ๐˜‰๐˜ญ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ & ๐˜™๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ป๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ข ๐˜ฎ๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ข ๐˜“๐˜ข๐˜ฎ.), a native species well suited to the local ecosystem.
