We…humans have existed for only a tiny fraction of the Earth’s history. Dinosaurs walked Earth between 230 and 65 million years ago. The oldest known humanlike fossil has been dated at 6 million years old.Evolution explains the way all living things evolved over billions of years from a single common ancestor. This concept is often illustrated by the so-called tree of life. Every branch on the tree represents a species (A form of a living thing). The fork separating one species from another represents the common ancestor that each pair of species shared. So ultimately, all life is interconnected, but any two species may be separated by millions or even billions of years of evolution.

There’s a story about carving an elephant out of a block of wood. The craftsman was asked how he did it. He simply said, ‘I took a block of wood and took away everything in it that was not elephant’. That’s the beauty of art. It’s also the beauty of life. It is not always about what you add but what you take away or, put another way, what you leave behind.

Darwin didn’t ‘discover evolution’. Evolutionary ideas had been proposed and debated long before Darwin came along. Darwin proposed the mechanism which brought about evolutionary change which is called ‘natural selection’. The idea of evolution in words is simple. Things change gradually with time. The process of computers, changing over the past 50 years can be thought of as an evolution in technology. Likewise, when an organism changes over many generations, it might be better suited to live, or more likely to die. To describe what happens, scientists have a few terms.

The World Teachers’ Day is celebrated in the first week of October. We give gifts for our teachers, and pupils write poems or nice letters to them as well. It’s the week to show gratitude to the teachers who inspired us. In some parts of the world, they celebrate the Teachers’ Day grandly with vario…

In our life, we don’t get time to do everything we want to do. Our dreams are too big and our lives too short. Yet, we can live at least a part of our dreams and we can live our dreams through the stories of other people.

here is an abundance of stories in this world. Some stories are written well, while others aren’t. We can relate to some, while other stories don’t speak to us. Some stories bring us to tears, others don’t affect our emotions. In this collection of stories, some are written, some are said, some are…
