Launching! Launching!! Launching!!

The Liberia National Tailor Textile Garment and Allied Workers Union Inc, in partnership with the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry with funding from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP ) will launch a 6 -weeks training for youth desiring to become Tailors and Seamstresses.
Under the theme:
Empowering Youth through Sustainable Livelihood Activity.

50 youths have been selected from Montserrado and Lofa County to participate in this life changing program with 30 from Montserrado and 20 from Lofa County.

Lofa county begins on tomorrow the 4th, of September with an official launching program at the Voinjama, Administrative Compound,Lofa.

This is to inform the general public that, Mr James ZK Zayzay is a suspended member of the Liberia National Tailor Textile Garment and Allied Workers Union Inc. He’s currently under suspension for the act of publicly giving support to the Alternative National Congress for impersonating as direct representative of the Institution.

The actioned by Mr. Zayzay again to pledged support to the Unity Party in the name of the Union, clearly violates Article 35 A,B,C&D of the Union’s Constitution which state;
▶️Any executive officer,staff and members of LNTTGAWU may be given letter of warning on first offense; Suspension on second offense; impeach or expel on third offense or violation of the following acts hereinafter provided;
▶️Willful violation of LNTTGAWU Constitution and internal rules and regulations.
▶️Using the name of the organization to solicit material support, funds, contracts or fund spreading hate messages or divide and rule, given false information to the LNTTGAWU constitute criminal offense.
▶️Any officer/officials who violate any provision of this constitution and internal law,or working policy shall be punishable by warning, suspension and based on the gravity of the offense may lead to expulsion.

The administration of the Union is hereby informing the Unity Party and the general public that any pledge made by Mr. James ZK Zayzay is on his own. Meanwhile, Mr Zayzay is advised to desist from using the name of the Liberia National Tailor Textile Garment and Allied Workers Union Inc.
Therefore, any unauthorized person caught using the name of the union risk serious legal action.

All meetings and representation are done by our President, Mr. Ezekiel S Kamara Sr. And other that made be selected to represent the institution with authorization of the Executive committee.

Tailor Union Embarks on Rebranding Agenda

The leadership of the Liberia National Tailor Union and a group under the banner Concern Tailors and Seamstresses Association on Monday July 10, 2023 signed a memorandum of Understanding in an effort to forester peace, unity and rebranding of the union.
The signing of the MOU which took placed at the Union headquarter in Central Monrovia brought together several aggrieved members of the Union as well as sympathizers and members of the board to mitigate the long standing disagreement and conflict within the organization.
The Concern Tailor was founded at the result of disinchantment and trust in the leadership of its embattled President Mr. Edison Carlo, alleging corruption and misappropriation of founded as reason for their disassociation.
During the MOU members of the both institutions including the Board of the Tailor Union signed put pen to paper committing to a peaceful reunion in order to promote peace, development and togetherness of the union.
The MOU was signed by the Acting President of Tailor Union Mr. Ezekiel Kamara, Mr. Mark Ballah, and President of the Concern Tailor and Paymah Mulbah Board Chair of the Union among others.
The MOU aimed to bring the Concern Tailors and Seamstresses Association of Liberia and the LNTTGAWU together to forester the common good of all tailors
Within the Country under one umbrella.
Also, the MOU seeks to ensure that all potential and qualified officials of the defunct Concern Tailors and Seamstresses Association of Liberia will be included within the leadership of the LNTFGAWU where vacancies exists as Acting Officials pending the NITGAWU Convention parties.
Lastly, the MOU motivate is to ensure that all dues including government tax will now be collected only by the Liberia National Tailors, Textile, Garment and Allied Workers Union of Liberia.
‘’This Agreement constitutes the entire understating between the parties and supersedes any and all prior or contemporaneous understanding and agreement whether oral or written agreement between the with the implementation of this Agreement we shall all be one and with one goal and motive’’ the MOU stated.
Speaking in at the MOU program, the acting President of the Liberia National Tailors Union Mr. Ezekiel Kamara extolled the leadership of the concern tailors for signing the agreement and expressing commitment to move the union forward.
‘’ I am excited today seeing this agreement becoming a reality. I talked with you for long and today we are at this peace table to rebrand our union. I want to tell you thank you for coming back to your mother organization. However, I want to assure you that we will work together to foster peace and opportunity for all members’’ he concluded.

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved Treasurer of the Board of Directors Mr. Mamadou D. Diallo, commonly known as Jubairu who died this Afternoon at 2:00PM.
Mr. Diallo got rushed to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital after a fall out but was later announced dead upon arrival.

The body of the late Mr. Diallo will be laid to rest this Saturday at the Old Road Muslim Cemetery at 10:AM.

As part of the rebranding process in making sure that the Union achieve its goals as a relates to transfer of knowledge, The President of the Liberia National Tailor Textile Garment and Allied Workers Union , Mr. Ezekiel S Kamara Sr.Ezekiel S Kamara Sr. and Secretary General Mr. Abdul Karim along with Mr. Fombah Kanneh of the Weaver department met with Sen. Nyonblee Karnga-LawrenceSen. Lawrence and Sen. Jonathan Lambort Kaipay of Grand Bassa County.

The meeting is gear towards the establishment of a Tailoring and Weaving School for the youthful population of Grand Bassa County.

The meeting took placed on the 2nd of March at the office of Sen. Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence.
