Happy to share that yesterday Neringa Orlenok received a National Good Design Prize for "Imaginators" cards (created for edu2) in Services, social design and education. There is nothing more pleasant than seeing your work appreciated and living its life and finding its place under the sun!

"Landšafto dizaino festivalis „Magenta“ bendradarbiaudamas su „Kaunas 2022“ ieškojo atsakymų į klausimą kas pirmiau – miestas gamtoje ar gamta mieste? Festivalio rėmuose vykusiuose dizaino, urbanistikos ir architektūros renginiuose dalyvauti buvo kviečiami ne tik šių sričių profesionalai ar menininkai, bet ir jaunoji auditorija. Rugsėjo 11 d. vykusiose dirbtuvėse „Laimingas miestas“ vaikai galėjo kurti savo aplinkos viziją, kuri, anot dirbtuvių vedėjų Neringa Orlenok ir Denis Orlenok, savo altruizmu bei fantazija galėtų nustebinti ir suaugusiuosius."

Taip jau sutampa kad Rugsėjis ne tik naujo sezono pradžia bet ir laikas kupinas naujų veiklų bei patirčių. Prisimenant praėjusį lietingą savaitgalį norisi pasidalinti sugeneruotų spalvų ir idėjų pliupsniu kurį gavome Kūrybinių dizaino dirbtuvių vaikams “Laimingas miestas” metu. Užsiėmimas vyko Kauno Kultūros Sostinės 2022 programos metu mums naujai atrastame ir ramybe dvelkiančiame VDU Botanikos sode VDU Botanikos sodas Kaune. Ačiū organizatoriams Kaunas 2022 už pasitikėjimą mumis, o dalyvavusiems vaikams už begalinį kūrybiškumą, atvirą ir nevaržomą idėjų generavimą bei puikią nuotaiką bei daug spalvų pilko rudens sekmadienio popietę!

“Toys should be like a white sheet on which the child pours his imagination”.

Recently, the local online news portal 15min.lt talked to designer Neringa Orlenok about her creative process and how she got into the field of children's products and toys.

– Pasirinkau šią sritį jau studijų laikais. Pirmame kurse Vilniaus dailės akademijoje buvo galima pasirinkti darbo temą, o viena iš jų buvo vaikiškas žaislas-baldas. Man labai patiko ta tema, tiesiog pajutau, kad tai daryti buvo malonu.

A new desks system ROUND designed by Orlenok duet for NARBUTAS is finally released!

It’s elegant and friendly, modern and modular, efficient and clear, personal and collaborative – it combines variety of different workspace layouts according to different needs. We are very thrilled to see the final result of a design project that started long before COVID and continued during lockdown. Denis and Neringa are very grateful to be able to meet and work with creative professionals and be able to get to know Narbutas RND and manufacturing inside-out.

Labai smagu dalintis darbais kurie neša džiaugsmą ir geras emocijas. One of the products designed by Neringa Orlenok & Denis Orlenok is urban luminaire "AZ7" created for AZlab brand.

Why is it special and different from other lights in the urban surroundings?
It is cost efficient & autonomous, has circadian lightning function build-in, thanks to the design solution has a wide range of lengths, effective cooling system and a variety of possible light illumination according to the need of the user.

The exclusivity of the product derives from circadian lighting function - color temperature of the light flux and intensity may be adjusted depending on the time of the day (from the cold morning to warm evening light). These settings can we adjusted autonomously and remotely, thus reducing electricity costs and saving electricity.

This luminaire was designed taking into account aerodynamic aspects at a high altitude, and it was constructed in such manner that the product's internal stiffener plates would transmit heat generated by LED optics and power source to the upper cover surface, where cooling is performed using natural flow of the air.

Urban luminaire is made of high class 6 series aluminium alloy with natural anodizing, revealing the best material properties as well as ensuring its resistance to external impacts. An industrial aluminum extrusion production method enables to manufacture a product of different lengths and thus to integrate additional light sources according to the need. Sleek shape ensures water drainage. The style of the product may be characterized by clean lines and minimalist expression. AZ7 may be adapted to a variety of holders, pipes, standard brackets, it can also be used inside and is therefore perfectly suited to the production spaces.
